Worlds Apart Now

I sit and wait for you again

And wonder where you're at

But then I remember you gone for good

And that I should no longer be looking back

We were happy and in love

But you just couldn't see

That someone really cared for you

And it was always me

So now on this cold and barren night

I try and walk away

From all the pain and sadness

That consumes me everyday

And if sometime coming near

You wonder how I'm doing

Just remember that we're now worlds apart

And it's a new life I'm pursuing

Very nice poem! Love how you finalized the ending of the relationship by saying "its a new life I'm pursuing", meaning that the love is gone...Excellent imagery that really shows the emotion behind the situation!
