Love Has a face

Love Has a face

A Poem by James Grizzly Jones

A smooth wind blows then a pretty bird sings at your window
Cool  nights and bright stars set the mood for the love making of two souls
They hold hands as they walk on the city streets stoping traffic almost getting hit by cars beep beep
She snuck out the back door to meet him on the back porch at the risk of getting hung or poked with a pitch fork and burned with a hot torch
On his death bed before he died a day later his last dying words  to her were not I love you but I'll see you later
It's funny how swans mate for life
A husband will die to be with his wife
And even the slave owner didn't think twice he fell in love with a slave and left his wife
You walk by it everyday and you see it in many places that's when it became clear to you
that love has many faces
