Seperate Ways

Seperate Ways

A Poem by Ak_147

The cakes she baked, ever so sweet,
their sweetness grew, endlessly deep.
But one day, it seems, a hint of salt slipped in
an honest mistake, I think.

Time wore on, and the saltiness grew,

until, before I could ask or understand,
I knew, though I struggled to accept,
our journey had quietly turned
separate ways.
