The old oak

The old oak

A Poem by writer-scott
"

This is a poem about an oak tree, and enjoying the world around me.

"

The old oak tree

In it embraces me as I sit

Enjoying the age old stories

Told by the wind as it passes through

It shady providers

Its embrace is calming and cooling

From the long and hot days work

It embrace provides a paradise

As the sun is near and near to the land

The reddish glow covers everything

Make the paradise even that much more touching

The tired, yet cheerful chirps of the singing bird

Fill the oak as they enter into their nest for the night

It took all my will not to fall asleep in the embrace

An embrace that my great great grand father gave me

A paradise from the long hours of the

Yet my will almost failed me

Until the chilling air forced me awake,

The suns was down and the moon out playing about

And the desert air turning from it blistering hot to it ice chill

With my paradise gone I say

“I’ll see you tomorrow grand old oak.”
