Church FolkA Poem by Janiese WesleyIt's about how the people in church are supposed to reach lost souls, but they're too busy fleecing the flock.
Church Folk Pretending to be holy that's just a show fussin' and complainin' about nothin.' They're always smilin' and lyin' trying to catch others sinnin'. Church Folk Catfish dinners, rummage sales, raising money, and gettin' rich Church Folk Preachin' watered-down messages on salvation, and no annointing to raise the sick or dead. Church Folk Always talkin' about Evangelism, but never reachin' lost souls. Establishin' cliques, social clubs, promotin' fleshly events, and never living Holy. Church Folk Jesus has become a by-word, a memory of the past, and a nice thought. Church Folk Tippin' behind the church building smokin', drinkin', and gamblin' on Saturday nights. Church Folk Cussin' and fightin' one another over stupid stuff, and never showin' love. Church Folk © 2011 Janiese WesleyAuthor's Note
