Before Summer

It was the first day I was back from the hospital, after I broke the first time. My mom and I were driving home, and I wasn’t sure how I was feeling. I only had one friend at this time, it was Ash. He was the person who I’ve been friends with since we were little kids. He’s my best friend, we just accepted the fact that we were both completely odd people who some how managed to fit well together.

Well my only friend was waiting for me when I got home from the Hospital after I broke. I was going to go back to school for a couple more months, and then it’d be summer. I’d just have to suffer through a few more weeks of what I think is worse than hell. At least in hell you know what you did wrong. In hell there is some sort of an explanation for why everything is so fucked up. In highschool, no one tells you a damn thing about how screwed up everything is. I got out of the car and Ash was waiting on my porch for me. He hadn’t been able to visit me in the hospital because he had school and everything, so it was the first time I had seen him in six weeks. As soon as I was out of the car he came up and gave me a big brotherly hug. As an only kid, I never had siblings, and Ash had five others, which I found unfair. He and I went to my room and I told him all about being in the hospital. The one friend I made who I’d be likely to never see again. It made me all sad thinking about it.

I told him how my therapist wanted me to be all social now that I wanted to get better, he said that it’d help me. So Ash and I decided that I’d have to make friends. Ash and I didn’t really have any other friends really, I guess we had acquaintances. Ash had two other friends, they were Devin and Louis. I didn’t really talk to them much, because I had nothing to say to them.
