Nod

Nod

"

Fear vices her possible;
it grips and taunts asunder,
Self-inflicted and morose...
Dread points at contemplated fate;
she denies it, and looks away.
Waiting on word;
Word that reveals itself
in whisper of imagined secrets--
solved in wonder’s glory.
Replenishing word;
Gushing from the renewal well
where water washes away woe,
and weariness is worn out…

She grins at living in now;
partly in the supernatural.
There are but a few
who pause past the present,
and sign in affirmation
while inhaling the very same air
hushed from her scripted soul.
