Haily

Haily

A Poem by cassandra ziemba
"

this is about twin girls, one who lives one who dies.

"
the darkness surrounds me,
the dead clawing at me,
i need to live
live for her.

i fight the current,
i have to save her,
she is my life,
she is my twin.

i reach,
the water filling my lungs.
so close i could almost touch her,
fabric slips through my fingers.

she is gone,
i lived but she died.
my twin,
Haily.

What a sad poem... you gave excellent descriptions and just beautiful honest emotion behind the words. Good work!
