Why Did You Die

Why Did You Die

A Poem by lovetowrite

You just lay there
Why?
Your eyes are open
You aren't breathing
But a smile on your face
Everyone cries
I don't understand
You don't:
Speak
Walk
Eat
Talk
Laugh
Cry
Scream
You just lay there
Why, oh why?
Why, dad, why?
I hear you'll go to heaven
Where evil is no more
Well, why did you even die?
You just lay, a cold body
No breathing,
Eating,
Or playing
Just laying
And a smile on your face
Is this a prank?
Some silly joke?
Maybe perhaps a new, cruel, evil game
Just wake up!
Please, please, PLEASE
wake up!
Ob why, why, why
Dis you die?
Where are you?
Oh, why
Why
Why did
You die?
I miss you
I miss you, dear friend
                                            I miss you
