If I told you I loved you

If I told you I loved you

A Poem by Cassie Meno

If I told you I loved you, what would you do?

Would you ignore me and laugh and say it wasn't true?

Would you scowl and insult me and send me away

Would you stop talking to me and hate me even more each day?

Or would you smile and blush and ask me again

Is it really the truth or is it a sin

Nothing would make my day more, I'll be true

Then if you said "I love you too"

But I know thast this isn't how it really would be

You'd shake you head and then I would see

As you walked away, me with tears in my eyes

That last time was the last and only goodbye

Great poem once again Cassie
I know its scary to take that step
into telling that person how you truly feel
but i think its better for you to say it
then keep on thinking of the "what if's"
Life is all about risks
Thanks for sharing

Best of wishes

It's so confusing isn't it? Like putting life on the balancing scales~ do I tell, or don't I??

This is an exceptionally well written piece of work here! Any reader is sure to feel the inner turmoil flowing through your words. Look forward to reading more, keep it up!!!

Hey, everyone, my name is Cassie Meno. I'm eighteen and I've been writing pretty much since before I could spell. I prefer longer pieces--novels and novellas mainly. I have a hard time getting a poin.. more..
