Bitter Sweetness

They still didn't add sugar
On the bitter sweet taste
To the bitter coffee;
Cold and bitter,
Like the life I walk,
Bitter, cold, colourless,
Yet it tasted so familiar,
Maybe it was the taste
Of the familiar coffee,
Or the milk that wasn't so sweet
That added to the swirling ice.
