A Mirage Of Scent.

Closing my eyes,

Curled up in bed,

I could feel my tense body relax in comfort

The feeling of safety as I fall deep

All I could hear was the beat of my heart and my breathing

So serene;

I could hear rain pattering like music in the window

The smell of rain,

The smell of silence,

And the smell of your scent

A comfort,

A beautiful peace

A beautiful warmth

I could feel the sleep overtaking my body

The fear slowly dissipating

The only thing I sensed was the scent that lingered around

It was like a serene drug that made me want to stay there

It was a happy place;

It made me happy.
