The organization now manages a professional dance company that is mesmerizing in its artistry and precision. It also coordinates several dance troupes that perform throughout the community and offers a range of classes at its headquarters in the Dallas Arts District. Prashe owner Prashe Shah’s core business is planning lavish Indian weddings, but she also designs ready-to-wear and vividly hued custom saris and gowns embellished with intricate embroidery. The company has offices in the Design District and in Houston. Tickets for the fashion show are $45 to $150 and may be purchased at prashe.com. Legacy of Love event The Women’s Auxiliary to Children’s Medical Center Plano, Legacy Chapter,exceeded its fundraising goal at the Legacy of Love Benefit and Fashion Show in April, netting $202,000 for the hospital. Proceeds will be used for patient support, equipment and programs such as pet therapy. Co-chairs Jean Callison and Joyce Logan had set a target of $150,000 for the fourth annual soiree and auction. Diane and Daryl Johnston were honorary co-chairs. Children’s Medical Center Plano opened in 2008, and the Legacy Chapter of the auxiliary was formed in 2010. $15,000: Engibous Family Foundation and Mercedes-Benz of Plano. $10,000: AdvoCare International and the Betty and James Muns Foundation. $5,000: Ambridge Hospitality, Amdocs, Love Life Foundation, Origin Bank, Prime Lending, The Shops at Willow Bend and Trinity Industries. $3,000: Bill Shaddock Capital Title & Willow Bend Mortgage, CPF Texas, Craig and Kathryn Hall Foundation, Market Street, Phyllis and Bobby Ray, Swingle Collins & Associates and The Jan Richey Team. Evergreen gala Evergreen Life Services recorded net proceeds of $84,622 from its Diamond Gala in April, a 42 percent increase over the previous year’s results. The charity educates and provides services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The dinner dance and auction was chaired by Dr. Leyla Nourian and Dr. John T. Bottswith co-chairs Dawn and Ryan Neufeld. Attracting 263 guests, it was co-sponsored byNourian Dental and Sterling Pharmacy and emceed by Amy Vanderoef and Scott Murray.
