Simon Cowell had a lovely trip during the Britain's Got Talent grand finale.

The music mogul - who created the show ten years ago - found himself nearly suffering from a catastrophe after tripping on Amanda Holden 's giant cheap evening dresses uk while they made their entrance onto the stage.

Filmed by a fan from the audience, Cowell was spotted nearly going head over heels in a bad way over Amanda's stunning fairytale dress.

The moment, only revealed after the show aired, may explain why he attempted totake revenge during the show by bringing Amanda down on live telly .

The actress - who is the only judge to have sat on the panel for every series since 2007 - hit out at the show's creator after revealing he tried to knock her off her chair during the live final.

Speaking on ITV2 spin-off show, Britain's Got More Talent, Amanda was asked about what happened on the main show after Beau Dermott had finished singing when Amanda appeared flustered while giving her comments.

She explained: "He was a little s***bag basically. He pulled my chair away and I went to sit down and if it wasn't for this gorgeous comrade [ Alesha Dixon ] I would have landed up on my a***."

Amanda added: "But this dress is like a cloud so I would have had a soft landing."

David Walliams , who was drenched by Amanda for joking she was leaving the show, chimed in with: "And yet I was the one who got the water in my face.

"He nearly crippled her and yet one little comment - water in the face."

Earlier on the main show, David said he hoped Beau would win the competition because it would be a nice way for Amanda to say goodbye to the show, despite her not actually leaving.

And for his trouble, he received a glass of water in the face.

The comments came after Amanda's Golden Buzzer pick, Beau Dermott took to the stage with a stunning rendition of Defying Gravity.

And show insiders say she has already caught the eye of a string of record labels despite losing the competition to magician Richard Jones.

A source said: "She has become the star of the show and whatever happens she will be getting a recording contract.

"There is a lot of talent and a lot of money to be made there."
