Erase Me (An unhappy man's prayer)

Erase Me (An unhappy man's prayer)

A Poem by The Last Ronin
"

What started out as poetry seemed more prayerlike at its end. Let me know what you think

"

From this barren landscape
Painted in gray
From these cold dark streets
Awash in dismay

Erase me

From this ocean of despair
Endlessly deep
From out of this nightmare
That haunts my sleep

Erase me

From this colorless world
Where monsters do roam
From out of these dark times
Where I stand alone

Erase me

May the only part of me
Thats left behind
Be the only the faintest
Human outline

Memories of me

Not at all prayerlike in the end.
No Ashes to Ashes
Nor plea nor pray did I see
Just a well crafted poem
very enjoyable without being too depressing.
