Moving On

There is a silence and a stillness,

As my thoughts race within me.

The love that I feel for you -

Yet it can never be.

Why?  I ask myself why?

My Lord look down upon me and shed some light.

Help me make it through the night.

 

I guess I saw things as I wanted them to be,

Not as they actually were.

Now I see the way it will be,

And even though it does not please me.

I must go on and try again to find a love that will last.

I must forget the past.
