A Changed Man

A Changed Man

A Poem by Judy A. Price
"

A poem about a nice young man who is now encarcerated. He had used drugs since the age of eleven. The parents lacked good parenting skills and never intervened. I dedicate this poem to Eric.

"

Life on the inside - looking out

Not the way I planned.

The problem is, I did'nt plan.

I failed to see the big picture.

I wasn't on the right road and

No one turned me around.

I have no one to blame but myself.

Now I must rectify this wrong.

My life must have meaning,

Not only to me but to those I love.

Help me Lord to turn my life around.

I need to gain anew that which has left me.

Forgive me Lord, as I must learn to forgive myself.

Lord you are the Truth, the Light  and the Way.

I know that now, and away I go to prove to you and to all

That I'm a changed man.
