Fall

Fall

A Poem by Judy A. Price

The leaves are falling to the ground

With only the slightest bit of sound.

I turn and look around

And I see the leaves falling one-by-one

Until they reach their destination

Nestled on the ground.

Throughout the day and night there they lay,

But as morning comes the frost comes to join them.

If I had my choice the leaves would be on the trees,

I think the leaves look prettier there

Without them the trees look very bare.

The leaves are cleaned up and gone,

Everything is still.

There's a silence if you will.

Fall is but a season and no reason

For us to despair.

Before you know it another season will be in the air.
