Farewell (Flight into the Sun)

A short epitaph.

The wait is over now,
The sun finally set.
 
In sweet melancholy,
Here now my final rest.
 
Beyond the reach of mortal realms,
Forever sleeping at nature's behest.
 
Ravens shed not tears at my passing,
For now I soar on waxen wings before my crashing.
