A TextA Poem by WordydistanceA text, the gloom is mounting, A call, the pain’s surreal, Your face repeats past counting, When longing thoughts reveal, And I haven’t slept for days, Cause you are all it brings, The corn about this maze, Razed by tears for finer things, Your silhouette is showing, Silver lining on my wall? Or some angry thoughts bestowing, Untimely hope to watch it fall? There’s nothing worth renewing, In the past or present tense, For self-respect is self-pursuing, Here and now’s the only sense. If your lips are for returning, Then bridges are for burning. © 2015 WordydistanceAuthor's Note
