Smoker's Diary

Smoker's Diary

A Poem by Keith Allen Covell

I can see your knives
Poking out the back entrance
They are clean
They are clean
Grinding out the back entrance

I am not free
Games to be held
Decisions to be made
What a swell day!!
Yeah...you're running over

Stop being yourself
Carnivorous
I am late for a date about
Issues that are far exceeding
Your limits

Secondhand
Smoker's diary
Blank, yellowed pages
Like that's written word
Grow your patience
