We are all just fallen stars.A Poem by freshwatermermaid (eglantine)Again, I am awake.
Nightmares coat my subconscious like moss I’m unable to pick off. There is no amen in slumberland
Neptune sleeps deep within the soil of the soul, away from mulberry lamplight, praying for sunrise.
Now I lay me down to sleep. I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
There are blackberry stains on the dove-white pages of my bible. They remind me of salamander eyes.
See me safely through the night and wake me with the morning light.
