Mindful

Mindful

A Poem by Amrita

Cling to his memories
on her way to that railway station,
she could portrait them in a busy crowd.

They were motionless.
Their eyes exchanged infinite words
phrasing their love
as their lips were shut.

Plunging into every tiny detail of him;
she contemplates
and collapses into the world
she imagined with him.

She searches for her wallet
in which she still carries
his picture and realized
it is just another day
without him.

I really appreciate the unique perspective from which you depicted this concept: the idea of amorous emotions preoccupying the private galaxy of one's mind, even in the midst of a million people in society.

But, of course, the key message I sense here is nostalgia and longing for a past love.

Well done!!!

Ah, a feeling most of us know too well. My heart goes out to the young woman. They say time heals all wounds but there is an empty place inside that is hard to fill. Your words express this all so beautifully. I really enjoyed your poem.
