Voice of the night

Voice of the night

A Poem by Sarah's words
"

shhhh

"

voice of the night

do you hear that, dear? whispered my pillow.

I was sleeping, pillow. Please let me get back to sleep.

listen, love, can you hear it? whispered my blanket.

Quiet, blanket. Please let me get back to sleep.

hear me, feel me, dance to me - came a whisper, that was not my pillow, nor my blanket.

A stillness hit my body, slowing down my already calm breath.
Starting from the tips of my limbs, a warm tingle welcomed itself.
Eyes closed, the black tableau grew wider, deeper and darker.
Yet somehow, filled with every color, more than imaginable.
A thousand stars made their way into my head, as well.

Calm, I was.

I could hear it.

Without a sound, it was a song.

Making my body sway and twirl.

I did not move an inch.

Thank you, pillow.

Thank you, blanket.

I now hear the voice of the night.
