Piece of moon

what are you a piece of?

Piece of moon

I am - different.

but everyone is, right?

my difference, is - i have fallen.

fallen from the sky.

when the sun goes to bed, and the stars come out for a swim,

I am closer to home.

I feel stars shining from inside me, laughing with the ones up high.

they tickle me, making me dance like water, beneath the moonlight.

 

I don't remember falling.

“well, darling, then how do you know you have fallen?”

whenever this question is asked, I feel the universe flood out of my throat.

simply, I always answer-

“on the next full moon, you will see me.”

and to the sky I rise, completing the shape of the moon.

A piece of moon, I am.

and you?

First off, another great poem and I don't think the format is messy because you write at your best when its the way you want it to be. As the moon you are your a part of a larger universe. :)
