Springtime Renewal

Springtime Renewal

A Poem by words a la carte

The trees have forgotten Winter's harsh breaths
The grass whispers of life renewed.
The sky sheds her veil of mourning
The sun rejoices in his freedom
Spring.

Author's Note

words a la carte
This was actually written for a school assignment. But it's my favorite poem I've written.

Your poem is pleasant, peaceful and enjoyable. In simple sentences you convey images of nature which we all hold dear. I don't know if that was your intention, but the sentence length starts long and ends very short, making it visually interesting. You might even make the middle sentences gradually shorter, in a more even curve; or not. Keep on writing.
