I always admire the sincerity, humility and simple tone of your poems. I can hear Alan Jackson or one of the true country artists singing this in a dim concert hall, just his voice, a guitar and a white halo around his wood stool. Sure, Elton John, but I'd prefer the country version of this one. Another enjoyable work.

I was drawn by the title. I always liked the Johnny and June tune. This sounds more like a mellow rock love song from the seventies. England Dan and John Ford Coley stuff. Sweetly romantic. I enjoyed.
