Blue Autumn

Autumn leaves,

a whisper of snow,

the warmth from the fire

as the red embers glow .

 

Night fall comes

in shades of gray and black

not a star shining

as the clouds push them back

 

I reminess

as the day goes by

our love reminds me

of the colors of the sky

 

Gray and black

not a star in sight

i knew our love was over

this very night ...

poignant Wordman! didn't know where i was headed until those sad closing lines ..nice one sir ...now i get the purple rose and the title ... very creative! love the images ..the clouds pushing the stars back ... only early yesterday morning did i catch the scent of winter in the air ..first time this fall .. its precious isn't it?! this is a keeper sir!

thank you my friend,,been summer here till fla hurricane and we got rain then much cooler weather,unuas for us ,i usually wear a t shirt all the way to thanksgiving but going to be lows in the mid 40`s this wk

a devastating storm..glad you are OK Word! turned a little chilly here in the Ozarks as well ... 40s last night but days in high 60s ... turned the furnace on to make sure it still works ;)
