Windows Of Your Soul

Windows Of Your Soul

A Poem by wordman
"

"
I can look,

into your soul;

as i read,

the stories you hold.

Hold deep,

in your heart;

as you write,

your soul plays a part.

It reads,

like a movie script;

from long ago,

i love ,reading your soul.

You touch me,

in every word,

i feel the emotion,

coming from your heart

as your soul,plays it`s part...

I liked the simplicity. It wasn't verbose. It wasn't trying to reinvent anything. That was refreshing.

There are a few issues with grammar, but I'm not really one to talk. The bit about the movie script felt a little juvenile, out of place and forced against the honesty of the rest of the piece. Though, I appreciate a modern, more pointed reference that brings us to a contemporary context. Anne's Rants said it nicely, the meeting of two souls is appropriate here. I like the personal quality, like you're sharing something private. Nice!

this is really touching.. and reflective.. I have spent a long time here just reading.. most of what I have here is what I brought with me from another site that is now defunct.. sometimes it is the comments that people make to others that has the most impact.. comes through the heart.. a gift from the soul..

We're each a biography, a series of stories, some withheld, some shared. When you can read the stories held back because you read what's not said, you have the essence of the person. You've captured that well here, sir.

Poetry from "the soul" expressed and felt from "soul to mine". Profound and eloquently shared.
