Almost like a song

Almost like a song

A Poem by wordman
"

"

I lie here every night,

wishing , i could hold you tight;

as your beauty echoes softly through my mind,

as my heart,you gently entwine.

I feel your presence by my side,

as you gently unfold in my mind;

as we make love,i feel your soft skin,

as it caresses mine.

It was almost like a song,

the orchestra gently playing ;

as our bodies dance along,

then i awake, with tears in my eyes.

When i roll over to hold you,

i realize,it was just a dream;

as you,

lay gentle on my mind...

,

"your beauty echoes softly" - is brilliant. I sometimes think we write so many words in order to find gems like this. Even if you had not written another word or line, this one could stand all by itself. In fact, the whole poem feels to me like an echo of these four priceless words. Elegant... vous êtes un connaisseur, Wordman.

I heard not one song, but two playing here noth are long time favorites, that seem to weave extra layers here. If Milsap is heart wrenching, Campbell is sadly reflective. Beautiful write word.
