My Rose

My Rose

A Poem by wordman
"

"

My love

she is a river

that leads

to my soul

My life

my salvation

the only woman

that I want to hold

But my rose

she went away

one frosty morning

just at the break of day

Now

my rose

she

sleeps in my soul...

A commendable piece of poetry, touching the heart with sadness.

No offense by the way.
Such a sad and brutal thing to lose ones love but still feel that thorn, that pang of love.

It's funny wordman how love (the fundament principle) and soul (the eternal principle) are not
mutually exclusive. And, although they reside so beautifully together in love poems, the human
heart makes no literal separation. You write so beautifully.

very well penned...thank you...sorry about being so late to reply...i worked in my yard and got way too hot...heat stroke to hospital # 18 in my long life...i really need to remember this pale redhead flesh can not take the heat...home now under the ac which feels good but also i think the use of ac so much over the years has weakened our species making us way more susceptible to allergies and such, any thought on that subject...

ps...my daughter desiree is making me stay down so i am listening to tony joe white, a fav of mine ( well, how can you beat a song like "they caught the devil and put him in jail in eudora arkansaw") and hand sewing some summer cool dresses and blingging the front to sell along with my ceramics this summer at craft fairs...have a great day...

The poetry seems to be written with an ink of FAITH. You've put your real nice emotions/feelings in this poetry... to make it full of bliss. Nice work!
