It`s been  a long time baby!

you were on my mind

thought I would drop you a line

and on day`s like this honey

I just feel misty blue

since I held you tight

and I hope this letter

finds you all right

and I dream of you from time to time

and on those day`s honey

I have to drop you a line

But then I tear them up

and I throw them away

I wouldn't know where to mail

them to any way....

This is very well-stated & relatable . . . I've felt this way many times. I think people we've grown connected to, & then grown away from, are always lingering on our minds this way. I love how your message suggests we can take out such a memory, spend a little time expressing the feelings, then throw away the words and move on once again. We often have to do this over & over in life. It's just as well we don't know where to send our thoughts, becuz most of the time, it's a futile exercise anyway. Thanks for sharing this true-to-life vignette.
