Never Love Again

I built my life around you

now you`re gone

I don`t know what to do

I could never love again

my heart is broke

it will never mend

fifty years old all alone

now that you are gone

I have no reason to go on

I can never love again

but one day maybe I

can find a friend

Just someone to talk to

when I`m thinking of you

someone to help me make it through...

I wrote this poem last night had a feeling it was for someone
who needed a friend it`s actually about a man that lost his wife she died

This absolutely hits home for me.
I lost a very special man years ago and it often feels like I might never move on from that loss.
There's something about the death of a soul-mate that really keeps you frozen, frozen in their memories.
A beautiful poem, well done.

I see this happening a lot

with many that have been married in Gods eyes
until death do them part this is so sad.


but not always the wife I hear
of the Husband dying and the wife lives
this made me cry sad and beautiful.
