Suicide

Suicide

A Poem by wordman
"

"

I heard the ambulance

as it flew down the road

somehow I knew it was you

deep in my soul

I didn't want to believe

but I knew it was true

you showed signs for days on end

I guess it just didn't sink in

that you would take your life

you would leave your children your wife

now what will they say

to the children at school

what will your wife say

to your mom and dad

that they would never see you again

would be so sad

so before you say good bye

give life a try

and just remember

when you pull the trigger

it`s your family that will have to remember...

Suicide.. I have no words for such a tragedy. What I do know is that no matter how sad and depressed you may feel, no matter how exhausted and defeated, no one is alone - ever. Suicide is a selfish act to ease one's pain while not realizing the pain, heartache and possible continuation of a suicide chain.. You had it write at the very end. Think of your family and friends. Powerful, sad, but honest. Great write! :)

When death seems like the only escape, life is brutally sad and dark. Ron, your words are intense and well written. Lydi**

Suicide--One of the worst tragedies to over take a soul, and the heart ache left behind for those who have know the person. There last hours are always pondered and wondering what could a person have done to change their minds. What could possible have possessed this person who has chosen to take their lives leaving every one to grieve with pain for the rest of their lives. The tragedies of suicide, one we will never comprehend. Thanks for sharing! Your writing was well done!

Oh No ..Suicide. How sad and disturbing. It happens more than we hear about it. I Just went to a benefit not to long ago father passed the same way the mother passed a couple months after him (heart failure) leaving 4 young children behind. Heartbreaking story. Thanks for sharing this powerful message.

this was written so well. it brought me to tears because I lost a dear friend this way, a lovely girl who was being bullied in college because of race. I felt like I should have ben able to help her. A month later i almost lost my best friend too. thank goodness I had a chance to save him. Very well done

There are three types of personalities on Earth ( I feel sure that others may add a few more personalities to this list) :

1) Those who are so full of joy that every moment is forever. This is me!

2) Those who are psychologically dead, but don't know it, don't have the motivation to pull the trigger, and never will. I know a few people such as this.

3) Those who are so afraid of life that death seems to be an escape from a fate worse than death. When fear of life is much more than fear of the Unknown, then the trigger is often pulled. Perhaps it's just best to have faith that the Unknown Forces that brought us here did so for a reason? They might just send you back into the fray from which you came for another try at being courageous if this is the case. It's best to just hold on, relax, and wait for the next glorious event horizon to come forth in its own time. Be a hero to yourself by having the courage to persevere against the odds. Don’t jump the clock as the prey of Fear.

Man I know what dealing with suicide is like. Only by the power of the Holy Spirit and the Grace of God am I alive today. All glory to God. We should always be in prayer for those who suffer from these thoughts and constantly be on the lookout for them and try to bring light into their life. Great write!
