I would imagine this is the dream of many a lad with similar disabilities. Perhaps, the young lassies as well. To dream can be divine. It is the end of the dream that is the re-entry to reality that I wish that I could spare each one of them!

don`t understand why they are born like this, thanks for the review
I cared for a paraplegic for about a year before he went to his mothers to care for him, spent most of my days with him, he died after going to his mom's , his name was Robby, he was a good kid, smart, funny and a wonderful sport had the most beautiful blue eyes. Thanks for the memory recall, i'm sure he dreamed of the same things not being born that way, but he was rarely disagreeable or surly, I was in such awe of him too. wonderful write Wordman.
Beautiful sentiments. I was state certified to work with the disabled and mentally challenged. One thing found in all of them was the hearts feelings and inner courage that could amaze the care takers. They are just people too. In some way all of us are a bit challenged. Valentine

In our dreams we are free to to escape and experience what ever our hearts desire ... Such a beautiful heartfelt poem for whom it was written. You had me cheering him on as well! Merry Christmas

thank you for the visit and merry christmas to you and your family
we just have to appreciate the good things, the bright things, though we must accept certain unalterable receipts there will always be something to look at, all will not be dim forever, it's hard learning how to be older, and how to save money about school, I can barely manage, not wanting to worry about it,

The poem is very good. In the darkness of the night. The boy had no limits. I like the entire story in the poem. Thank you for sharing the excellent story.

You see I am crippled
only at night I can be free…
Honestly, wordman, we are all held back in one way or another, and I understand truly the power of dreams to set you free and let you travel and roam. Splendid write.
