I guess it`s where your coming from is what touches you
Out of all of you're work that I've read, this is the best. It's honest and upfront like most of your writes but its more fleshed out and complete. Only real suggestion is to add a line break in strophe four Since this is written without punctuation the line break, while it looks good, interrupts the flow and meaning rathet than pulling you to the next line. Im putting this in my library though. I just like it that much.
Such a passionate love that awakens with just a touch of the hand.. Wow that is something to write about, and to hold onto. Love the emotion in this poem, well done.
Wordman, this is sensitive, passionate, and beautiful. You write with your heart, and your emotion comes out in waves. I love the first three stanzas, the imagery of the firelight and the stillness of the night is very romantic. I love that you weaved through the excited emotions of the moment with your hands sweating and your mouth watering, the silouette of the woman you love in the flickering light of the fire. Very beautiful. One small correction that you probably already caught: 2nd stanza, third line. "As I lye here beside you"...lye should be lie or maybe lay. Autocorrect probably wouldn't catch it, because lye is a chemical used to make soap. But, besides that it flows elegantly and is a beautiful, beautiful piece. I don't think I've read a more simply, romantic firelight moment on here. It was treasured. Thank you for sharing it.
You are a great writer. The words flowed so wonderfully. O'how I wish I could write like this; and any woman would be beaming to hear them said to her. Your back story is wonderful. My husband will love the Golden Gloves and the Army. He was in the National Guard army yrs ago, but we both are boxing fans. I cannot believe how I enjoy it. That's something I'm still puzzled by...What a beautiful love story, so honest and inspiring, especially to someone that cannot write a single lick, a single line of love, especially one so devine as yours. I must listen to the song "The game of love." I am a music lover as well, and when I read, candy store, it reminded me of a summer song, long gone. Thank you for such a wonderful write! Thank you.
