![]() Toward InfinityA Poem by Joel M Frye
This world, unsettled, restless, suits my mood
Of vague dissatisfaction. Edgy time Will whittle shards of life away like wood And leave a staff on which I can't rely. Recoiling from what comforts and provides Distraction from my weary pilgrimage, I once again will turn my search inside, Not certain what my vision may assuage. For this wayfarer set out lifetimes hence In mad pursuit of immortality, Not seeking or expecting second chance, Instead, a quest to live forever free; To live content wherever I may be Yet set my sails toward infinity.
