Clockwatch

Clockwatch

A Poem by Joel M Frye

s  p  r  e  a  d  i  n  g out
poured viscousmelting into
(howslowly)
                  an after-noon
Friday notpassing
your buzz hovering
gathering time from
every
        flowering
                      moment
to meld with my
langourous liquid
honey-sweet and suspended
resisting flow
and (sundrifting
                       downdown)
darkness strengthens
defines sharpening curves
and shadows leading
                             (downdown)
into your
sweet
         ohh
                honey....

By the time I reached the end of this poem, I felt like I should have left the room at some point. But, in my defense, you gave me no real warning.
Great use of word and spacing to create mood. Another thoroughly righteous write for our resident troubadour.

LOL! Just read Frank's review, and that man does make me laugh! I must say I agree with him. You did spring it at the end! A most passionate and finely crafted write!
