all the time in the world

all the time in the world

A Poem by Joel M Frye

leave me your moments spent
without thinking, staring into space
while on hold or waiting in line
for your slush of cold coffee
all that time pulsing away
from an opened artery
of your life
drop your minutes wasted
listening sort of
to the drivel of an almost friend
into the jar held below my sign
"starving for attention - please help"
leave me your moments spent
without thinking
of me:
i'll have all the time in the world

~ heartbreaking... reminds me of me... some of us are horribly generous... you definitely are... i'm trying to be... ~ thank you for this gem of a heart song... we do have all the time in the world for others, don't we ? ...

And what do we leave behind? What have they left when silence invades once more, nothing and this is passionatley emotive love xx

So many would have all the time in the world as there are mountains of people starving for attention. Unfortunately some will even do negative or hurtful things to others, just to get that attention. Wonderfully written Bear!

Very sad, indeed, tragic. We've all been there--some still are. Almost no one, however, has captured the futility so vividly, so precisely.
Dead-on, Master Joel!
