This is a poetic response to another poet on another site, but occurred to me that 'tis apropos for a friend of mine here. What heat doesn't vaporize us, strengthens. Hang in there.

Brittle soul tempered
in overheated abuse;
beware the keen edge.

~ thank you for posting this brilliant expression of resilience... it took me a long time to comprehend this... i would think that i'll disintegrate when abused and become weaker because of the initial shock... then i realized one just has to wait patiently to feel strong...
