"Back to My Hometown"

"Back to My Hometown"

A Poem by Rache David
"

"At last I'm back to where I began."

"

Forest speaks a language of choice;

While the river sings all along

With the birds as second voice;

Nature orchestra with the entrance song

Brings trees to dance;

And the cold wind breathes so long;

Luminous sun’s crown radiates trance;

Of a wonderland and paradise

Diverges from city lights at a glance;

Everything is alive to rise;

So natural and real

Whereas urban is dead and in disguise

Driving miles from that edifice;

To the home, buried down in years

In my mind, blinded from the beauty with lies;

Weary heart, under reality’s pressures and fears;

After a sense of loss of inception,

Place abandoned, unexpectedly, banishes the tears;

At last, here I am to place of my conception;

My hometown -- My derivation.
