![]() "Broken Vow"A Poem by Rache David![]() What if he broke his lifetime promise?"![]() Wear this invisible thread -- as his vow; For her -- a sign of an undying love. A couple on crossed-fingers -- not to bow; Figure of love and peace -- fly high white dove! What if this knotted strand is let go? On the right side -- unravel, uncoiled. The thread, from perfectly bind -- is undo. Yet, on the other edge -- still on hold; Where the dove goes to? -- Its way goes blurry; With the said vows -- flee in the winding road. Where to find the route -- the sight couldn’t see; If the only thread connects them -- severed? Couple’s oath -- yet only one -- does not bend;
He belies his pledge -- “Till the very end.” © 2014 Rache DavidAuthor's Note
