Run AwayA Poem by Rache DavidThis is about running away from those things that we love the most to do or experience because we're afraid of the subsequent consequences of doing it.In the field, eyes see A hill, lonesome and free On peak, loves to build Noble future to shield Yet height gives a creep Irises, again, sweep From hill to lake’s bed Wrapped with shimmering sheet, Souls beseech to meet. But limbs won’t budge and swing, Since can’t do swimming. Hail Sun! Rise and heave Not for your UV peeve. Please Hill, trap the heat, Don’t make the woman bleat. Time clicked, greet the night, Stars commence to bright. To see the spark, Nay, “What to see in dark?” Love is what I plea, So as dread come to be. Feet chase after fame, Trotting beside the blame. Love things, yet can’t do, To try and give a go. Heart asks not win, but “What way should I begin.” There, See me parting, I bear the tear, shedding. © 2014 Rache DavidAuthor's Note
