the one who tries to help you
who comes running when you call
who's in the background when you're happy
who tries to catch you if you fall
the one that asks for nothing
who just enjoys to hear you speak
the one who wants to talk to you
every day of every week
the one with all the compliments
the one who's always cared
the one who would take so much s**t
yet still always be there
the one who will correct you
if you get something wrong
the one that's missed you everyday
from the moment you've been gone
the one whos happy place
is where they see your smile
you may not even see it
but you've helped them for a while
so was quick to do a favour
it never cost me to be nice
but niceties get forgotten
and I'm now paying the price
i never really thought
that it would end again
i think you are amazing
but I'll see you soon my friend
