In My Room

In My Room

A Poem by WonderWriterK

I sit in my room and begin to think

Of why my mind is on the brink

Im not so happy, one might say

But I always look forward to that beautiful day

At times my eyes want to fill up with tears

Once I start thinking of all my fears

I take a deep breath and begin to sigh

My mouth tastes bitter and somewhat dry

The moonlight shines through my window

Peircing my heart like a bow and arrow

I lower my head and look at my hands

Clammy palms I cannot stand

I start to shake, hoping I do not break

My pulse is flying, my eyes are now crying

I start to fear that I will meet my doom

Right here sitting, in my room

I love your rhyming especially this part "The moonlight shines through my window piercing my heart like a bow and arrow." Nicely written.
