For A Moment

It can be difficult to be yourself in a world that has always taught you to be like everybody else.

For a Moment I want to escape,

for a time I want to be free,

such cages held me guarded I need to be set free

For a moment I want to escape to see what I never could

to be pulled into a world I’ve only heard of

I want to sail the seas and wish for unbreakable things

The world is but a holder thank goodness I have wings

For there is only one and limited is time

This place has kept me afraid for so long I was left behind

Dream for all you want and go for all you can

Love with all you have and hope with both your hands

For there is only us and together we are we

The sky is but as big as an everlasting sea

For a moment I want to escape to see what I never could

to be pulled into a world I’ve only ever dreamt of.
