Bedouin Eyes

Bedouin Eyes

A Chapter by Wondering Mind
"

a write request answered :)

"

wide as the wilderness
and
deep as a desert night
that sparkles
with sensuous light

a mystery that holds
the sharpness of a sword
and
the opulence an oasis unfolds

in love,
the heart sighs

and dances

and sings
the beauty of
your bedouin eyes

FROM the Desert I come to thee
On a stallion shod with fire;
And the winds are left behind
In the speed of my desire.
Under thy window I stand,
And the midnight hears my cry:
I love thee, I love but thee,
With a love that shall not die
Till the sun grows cold,
And the stars are old,
And the leaves of the Judgement
Book unfold!

This makes me feel as if I am drifting through love on the clouds in the ether dreaming of a forgotten moment.

a most enchanting piece of writing and dedication, the imagery was incredibly, adoringly beautiful, by the third stanza I found myself smiling, this is a most fantastical response that is reminiscent of a timeless place and moment.
