She

She

A Chapter by Wondering Mind

of my first love

I dream

she,

her dark mysterious eyes

the night that sparkles

like desert skies

willful, she

challenges all my senses

and my will

and Oh!

how ardent

her oasis is

from her I began

and in her I end

Author's Note

Wondering Mind
Two prompts in one; the dream and the land.
I am of Bedouin genes. I was born in the desert, and I have had dreams of returning to it, odd, but who said I was normal?

Aw so wonderful and beautiful

Oh my this is hauntingly lovely... knowing its about the land of your birth makes it tug at the heart! Birth to me is powerful & our first experiences of love... its not odd at all...some things we are just in our blood and the land has a voice that calls to us..

Now as far as you being normal..well that's still to be decided..giggling joking on this last line ( :

Will her shifting sands caress you in your sleep, and will her sweet oasis quench your thirst, will you savour her moist dates. How much love do you need, before she ensnares you so you sleep at ease.

lovely poem

SO ROMANTIC AND BREATH TAKING!

Truly beautiful and the song "She" came to mind as I read through this. Romantic and certainly has the taste of "arabian nights' in it. Loved it!

TAO
I wasn't born in the forest, but...that's where I want to go. Suppose we all have our places... I wouldn't the painted desert, either. Anyway, I hope we're not after the same 'she' :). The picture you paint of her is enough to rend our heart. Well done.
