one day her

little footsteps

I followed

 

this thought that

once came to me

 

with playful pull

she took me to play

 

in places

I’ve never seen

nor likely ever be

 

I met people there

I’ve never known

nor will ever really meet

 

I’ve been following

little thoughts ever since

looking for the first that went away

This one I wrote for my youngest little one when she was 5. It's been over 12 years since.
