Less Than Nothing- II

Less Than Nothing- II

A Chapter by Wondering Mind

thoughts keep kindling me from rest

sleep sobers in slaps of memory

like heart throbs

on a healing wound

cradling me to wake

I lose my senses

just numb beats of nil

exhausting all emotion

with

no feeling

no pain

no hurt

no soothing

no relief

I am

less than nothing

It's like looking up into the sky, on a cloudless day. I know this feeling, and the numbness is definitely not comfortable. It's...unnerving... I wonder if this poem speaks to not having a soul? Odd thing, I was watching "Supernatural" a couple of days ago, and one of the brothers-Sam-was brought back from hell, but without his soul, and he finally admitted to Dean that, while he was still a great "hunter", he just didn't care...about anything... This poem reminds me of that. Very well done, well written as always, Wondering Mind.

.
. so, how's life on the other side of the x axis ? ... i always had leftist leanings too ... okay, okay ... i should get serious ... only someone who is extremely generous ... in every realm ... is even capable of experiencing this feeling of being small ... let alone write about it brilliantly ... res ipsa locquitur ... the act is evidence in itself ... you're awesome ... and you just proved it too ... quod erat demonstrandum ...
